EXCURSION TO LJUBLJANA
The aim of this report is to present information on school trip to Celje and Ljubljana. The trip was attended by around 50 students.
CELJE
We started our trip at 7.40 in the morning when we started for Celje. The drive was quite long but also entertaining. We arrived in Celje at around 9.30 and walked through the city centre to Tehno Park Celje, which is an interactive technological park. We had a lot of fun there, doing some experiments and trying out some of the illusion devices. The park provides a lot of information about human body, robotics, the environment and much more. The visit was amusing and educating. We were also able to try what it feels like to be in a wheel chair and what kind of obstacles the disabled may face. Our visit ended at 1 pm.
LJUBLJANA – MAIN BREAK
From Celje we drove straight to Ljubljana. We arrived there at 2.30 pm and the teachers gave us an hour of free time. My schoolmates and I walked to the city centre for some ice cream. We visited a café in Prešern Square, which is near the Ljubljanica River. Then we walked through the city centre and sat on a bench in Zvezda Park. It was warm and cozy.
ART GALLERY
We came to the Art Gallery at 3.30 pm. It is an interesting dark place, it is in the underground so you need to go down the stairs. The aim of our visit was Letizia Battaglia”s photo exhibition. Her pieces were really interesting, since she is interested in people, art, literature, poetry, life and death. The guided tour ended at 4.30 pm, after which we returned home.
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
To summarise, most of us were really happy with the trip as the activities were fun, interesting and also quite educating. Most of us enjoyed our main break in Ljubljana and we liked the Tehno Park in Celje very much. However, some students were not very satisfied with the trip. Perhaps, the least interesting part of the trip was the guided tour of the Art Gallery and the photo exhibition.Therefore it is recommended, that our next time include more hand craft activities, so that we could make some products ourselves. Visits to art galleries are not that interesting for most of us, however, it is also good for our education and for broadening our horizons, that we also visit galleries, museums and similar places. Overall, it was quite a nice trip.
