REPORT ON THE SCHOOL CAMP
Main purpose of this report is to summarize and asses Gym. Jesenice, school camp which also included an excursion to Celje, cave Pekel and Roman Acropolis in Šempeter. A total of 27 second year students took part in this excursion, which took place at the beginning of September 2022.
EXCURSION TO CELJE
We started at 7:40 a.m. from Jesenice and made our first stop at the cave Pekel near Šempeter and the Roman Acropolis. There we saw stunning stalagmites and stalactites (although it was quite small and claustrophobic) along with the Roman cemetery. The main destination was the town Celje and its castle with another guided tour around the city, where basic information and some interesting historical facts were given. Some students did not enjoy this historical excursion and found it boring, while others were amazed by the Roman and medieval architecture.
FOOD AND ACCOMODATION
In the Gorenje dormitory, self-service meals were offered and healthy snacks and drinks were always available.
Dairy-free meals were also available for students with lactose intolerance. There were no complaints about the dormitory itself, as it had a really pleasant atmosphere, was thoroughly cleaned and the food was tasty (could include more vegetarian options). There is also a gym, a table tennis room, a garden and a basketball court where we could spend our free time.

A variety of activities were offered; from lead climbing to building our own bivouac, playing “social” games, to learning about healthy food and plants in the forest, participating in various group sports. In our free time we often played volleyball and basketball.
